Kanela Kai is a bright, air-conditioned studio attached to a canal front home in Kailua, Hawaii. The room (approximately 275 sq. ft) has a private entrance and bath, and looks out onto a tropical garden. A stocked, starter breakfast is provided.

A 20-minute paddle down the canal takes you to the mouth of Kailua Bay, a habitat for green sea turtles. A 10-minute paddle up the canal takes you to Kawai nui Marsh, a habitat for endangered waterbirds.

Kanela Kai is located on the windward side of Oahu, one mile from the north end of Kailua Beach. Kailua Beach Park and Lanikai Beach are a few minutes drive. Waikiki and Honolulu airport is a 25-minute drive. All Oahu tourist attractions are no more than an hour's drive.
